Al-Azhar group of institution was established by Noorul Islam Trust founded by Mr. K M Moosa, the man having the sighted vision for education. The Institutions are declared as minority institution as covered in section 2(g) of the national commission for minority education. The institution widely acknowledged as one of the top institutions for imparting diverse fields of education in the state, the trust caters to the needs of Muslims in particular and others in general.The cardinal principle of the organization is that the development of the individual leads to the development of community, which finally leads to the nation building.
The 48-acre campus at Kumaramangalam Panchayath, Thodupuzha serves as the main campus of Al-Azhar Group of institution. Various Institutions runs under trust are Engineering College, Medical College, Arts and Science College, Public School, Training College, Teachers Training Institute, Dental College and Paramedical College.
